Dr. Delverlon Hall is a sought-after individual and couple therapist, and the Director of the Couple Therapy Program at the Training Institute for Mental Health. Her work is based on understanding that unresolved feelings create the patterns that hold us hostage. Through examination of her own difficult childhood she used this process to create her own success story. Dr. Hall embodies what she now teaches others what she has figured out for herself: By going through the willingness to go towards your pain and devastation is how you become your authentic real self. Dr. Hall received her Master’s degree at NYU as well as a Doctorate degree (Doctor of Education) from Columbia University. She has eight years of clinical training in psychotherapy, couple and psychoanalytic therapy. She is also a regular guest on podcast and radio.

Samantha Kane is a psychotherapist specializing in ADHD, relationships, trauma (including childhood & intergenerational), grief, anxiety, depression, burnout, disordered eating, and career counseling for individuals and couples. Samantha’s approach to therapy is grounded in her belief that self awareness and self acceptance are necessary steps to healing that can be cultivated in this space. She works collaboratively with her clients to explore their feelings, identify emotional and behavioral patterns, and uncover the root of their issues to broaden their perspective and increase clarity, empathy, and self understanding. Simultaneously, she works with clients to explore and enhance their coping skills and strategies. Over the course of therapy, her clients increase self awareness, self acceptance, enhance their overall wellbeing and improve their relationships. After years working in corporate America, Samantha earned her master’s degree (LMSW) from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work so she could focus on her passion for supporting people in their journey to heal and improve their mental health. Nicole is a compassionate psychotherapist who has dedicated her career to helping clients navigate both the ups and downs of life and the rollercoaster of anxiety, depression, and trauma. With all of her clients she approaches therapy with the philosophy that self-knowledge drives healing and growth, and she uses psychodynamic principles to explore how our past and present intertwine in ways that no longer serve us. Nicole specializes in women’s reproductive behavioral health – a field dedicated to supporting the unique needs of women’s mental health, particularly regarding fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause. Nicole received her Masters Degree from NYU, and has clinical training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute, and in family therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Her favorite quote is by T. S. Elliott. “We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

Stephanie specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, and self-compassion, with a particular passion for helping people through life transitions and identity formation. With a background in early childhood development, parent-child relationships, and personal experience as a foster parent, Stephanie brings a unique perspective on the adjustment of creating a family, and the struggles of parenting. Stephanie understands that family is chosen, built through love and dedication and continually in need of being nurtured, but in so doing, that individuals often struggle to take care of themselves. Stephanie is passionate about working with new and hopeful parents through the family-building process, (including navigating pregnancy, postpartum mental health, pregnancy/child loss, IVF, adoption, guardianship/foster care, and the early days of raising children), and warmly welcomes those navigating non-traditional family structures. Stephanie works collaboratively, integrating mindfulness, attachment theory, CBT tools, narrative therapy and creative arts therapy tools to help clients process trauma, understand unhelpful thought patterns, gain coping skills, and foster self-acceptance.

Dory believes that therapy is a transformative experience and works with clients to increase their self-awareness, self-knowledge and self-compassion. Through an open, curious, supportive partnership, Dory will aid you in exploring and deepening your understanding of your own history, relationships and how these may be impacting your life now. Dory specializes in working with people experiencing grief and loss, trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, gender, sexuality, and identity issues, relationship issues, as well as challenges regarding family dynamics, role transitions, creative blocks, dissatisfaction and regret. Dory employs a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+-affirming, anti-oppressive and anti-racist framework. By looking at our key relationships and taking into account the socio-cultural forces that impact our identities and our lives, Dory believes we can gain deeper insight into our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and better understand how we see ourselves and how we relate to others. Dory earned her Master’s in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and as well as a Masters in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, she worked for a decade as an editor and journalist, so she understands both high-pressure environments as well as the unique challenges that accompany creative professions.
